Obtaining Service


Purpose

Clarks Summit University is committed to serving students in the most effective way possible. CSU seeking to provide affordable cellular (mobile) service to our employees have secured a deal for employees. This coverage will cover employee owned and paid for plans as well as CSU owned plans for those required to have a mobile phone as part of their role. This policy provides appropriate guidelines and procedures for the setup and use of Company-owned service plans.

Definitions

In this policy, "Company", "the Company" or "CSU" is used to refer exclusively to Clarks Summit University.

In this policy, "the Employee", "user", or "requester" is used to refer exclusively to the individual who is responsible for the mobile line(s).

In this policy, school owned service plans are for positions that require frequent travel, remote work, or communication outside of normal business hours. In such positions, the use of a mobile phone may be an essential tool to fulfill job requirements.

In this policy, "service" is used to refer to only the phone plan which can include calls, text messages, data, and mobile hotspots. It will never refer to the phone, accessories, insurance, or any other add-on not listed.

In this policy, "service manager" is used to refer to the CSU department(s) tasked with managing the service plans. IT, HR or Business office will be tasked for this role.

Scope

This policy applies to any employee of the Company who is issued a Company-owned mobile phone or who requests a personal line through the Company.

Terms

Support

The Company's IT Department or other departments will NOT provide technical support for ANY phone. The phone is the employees property and they will be need to seek support from the mobile phone company.

The Company's IT Department or other departments will provide support for the purpose of obtain a new phone, adding a new line, or port porting an existing line.
