iPhone Migration

Pre-migration

These steps must be totally completed before we can migrate your iPhone.

  1. On the old device:

    1. Upgrade to the latest system software.

      This is very important:

      You cannot restore your information if the old and new devices are not running the same version of iOS.

    2. Perform a device backup.

    3. Turn off Find My iPhone.

    4. Log out of iCloud.

  2. Sign the new phone policy agreement.

Post-migration

Please complete these steps after receiving your new device:

  1. Set up the phone with your finger print.

  2. Restore the phone from your iCloud backup.

  3. Add a secondary contact method that is not school-related in iCloud.

    One contact method should be a CSU email.

    Tip:

  4. Re-add apps and preferences if first-time setup failed.
