Voicemail - Personal Greeting

Greeting Options

When recording your voicemail message or greetings, be sure to use the handset and not the speaker phone. This makes a difference in the quality/sound of your voicemail greeting.

Please update your personal greeting using the script below (or something similar to it):

OPTION #1

You have reached the desk of [YOUR NAME],  [YOUR ROLE] at Clarks Summit University. I am not able to take your call right now, but if you leave your name, number and a brief message, I will call you back as soon as soon as possible. 

 OPTION #2:

You have reached the desk of [YOUR NAME] in the [OFFICE / DEPARTMENT NAME ] at Clarks Summit University. I am not able to take your call right now, but if you leave your name, number and a brief message, I will call you back as soon as soon as possible. 

 

For departmental phone extension, please use the following: 

You have reached [OFFICE / DEPARTMENT NAME ] at Clarks Summit University. We are away from the desk right now. Please leave your name, number and a brief message and we will return your call as soon as we can. Thank you very much.

The general instructions to access your greeting setup

On campus from your desk phone

  1. Dial you direct office phone number or press the messages button

  2. Enter your ID (personal PIN) followed by the #

  3. Press 4 to enter the setup options

  4. Select the option to record your personal greeting (option 1)

Off campus or from another users desk phone

  1. Dial you direct office phone number or the extension if on campus.

  2. Press *

  3. Enter your 4-digit phone extension number followed by the #

  4. Enter your ID (personal PIN) followed by the #

  5. Press 4 to enter the setup options

  6. Select the option to record your personal greeting (option 1)
