IT Onboarding for All New Hires

Your CSU Credentials

  1. Your credentials should have been given to you by your supervisor. If not, please contact them.

  2. NEVER give your password or MFA code to anyone. IT will NEVER ask you for it.

  3. Configure your Microsoft account

    1. Visit https://myaccount.microsoft.com

    2. MFA

      1. The Multi-Factory Authentication is a tool used to provide additional security to your login.

      2. Setup requires the use of a computer and a mobile device.

      3. You will be promoted to set this up upon your the first login.

      4. Be sure to setup at least two options. The Microsoft Authenticator apps is recommend along with a cellphone number.

  4. Change your password using a strong password.

  6. If you have difficulties with your CSU credentials contact the IT Helpdesk.

Setup your computer

  1. Connect your CSU computer to the CSU wired network or the wireless called CSU.

  2. Never use any wireless service on campus other than the CSU wifi SID.

  3. Login with your credentials

  4. Open and Login to the following with your CSU email credentials

    1. Microsoft Edge internet browser. Be sure so setup the sync.

    2. Microsoft teams

    3. Microsoft OneDrive

    4. Microsoft Outlook

    5. Vonage via the Single Sign On option

    6. Repeat on your phone (optional, but recommended)

  5. Restart your PC

  6. Log back in and confirm OnDrive is syncing your 6 home folders

    1. Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Downloads, Music, and Video

    1. Login Options

      1. Use the passcode (userid) sent to your email from the copier

      2. Use your CSU username and password

    2. Printing

      1. Connect your computer to the printers using this guide - Add Windows Printers

    3. Scanning

      1. All scans will be sent to your OneDrive account

      2. Each scan will send a confirmation to your email of the scan being saved to OneDrive

      3. First time one scans to the copier you’ll recieve an email to setup the link between OneDrive and our Scanner

    4. Faxing

      1. Scan to your OneDrive account

      2. From your computer open Vonage

        1. Go to My Apps > Fax

        2. Compose your fax and attach the file you scanned to OneDrive
