Change your known Student Email Passcode

If you are experiencing problems with accessing one or more of our student services, you can usually resolve these issues by changing your Student Email passcode.

Change Your Passcode


This change will take effect immediately for the Office 365 website, but approximately 30 minutes to replicate to CSU hosted services (e.g. wifi access, library databases, etc...).

  1. Sign in to office.com/signin with your work or school account.

  2. Click the User Icon (Upper right corner).

  3. Go to Settings > password > Change your password.

  4. Enter your old passcode.

  5. Create a new passcode and confirm it.

    1. This new passcode must meet or exceed the following requirements:

      • At least 16 characters long

      • No use of your name, username, or birth date

    2. Must pass 3 of the following 4 rules

      • At least one UPPERCASE letter

      • At least one lowercase letter

      • At least one number

      • At least one special character ( !@#$%^&*()-_+ )

  6. Select Submit to finish and change your passcode.
