Checks are occasionally returned due to account closed or non-sufficient funds (cashed checks, misc. receipts, and those applied to students' accounts).
Cashed Checks – Enter a $30 Non-Sufficient Funds fee on the student's ledger (the student who cashed the check). Charge the student a Returned Check fee for the amount of the check. Contact the student to let them know.
Misc. Receipts – If the check was for an event registration, contact the person Contact the person in charge of that event and have them contact the person who wrote the check. The person will owe an additional $30 for NSF.
